Employees and Subcontractors
Is there a difference between an employee and a subcontractor?
If a worker is an employee you are responsible for withholding and paying the employment-related taxes.
If your worker is a subcontractor, he is responsible for keeping his or her own records and paying his or her own income and self-employment taxes.
Subcontractor, Independent Contractor, Gig Worker
Many different names, but they all just refer to a worker who is not an “employee”

Personalized Sales Tax Training
"We first met LuAnn when she was teaching a course on how to use QuickBooks at the Small Business Development Center, which is run by our local Coconino Community College. Since that day, we've hired her to be our company CPA for 10 years running. And, she had done my personal taxes, as well as my mom's and most recently my employees. I recommend LuAnn for CPA, bookkeeping and taxes. She is wonderful and very professional."
